PRIMARY FUNCTION:
Position is responsible for proper installation, maintenance,
and repair of plant equipment. Ensure efficient and proper utilization of equipment to
help maximize productivity.

SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Responsible for the proper direction/supervision of employees on his/her shift.
2. Responsible for keeping equipment in good working order.
3. Responsible for the safety and welfare of maintenance employees on his/her
shift.
4. Responsible for coordinating maintenance operations with other departments on
his/her shift.
5. Must promote safety awareness throughout all plant facilities.
6. May be required to perform other duties as assigned.
7. Work with Maintenance Manager to ensure the efficient use of departmental
resources.
8. Required to comply with all Work, Safety, and Environmental policies and
procedures.
9. Responsible for nightly updates of the maintenance dash boards, Daily Night
Letter, and reporting the status of the machines for the day to the Maintenance
Manager.
10. The supervisor will be responsible for closing out work orders and job orders and
ensuring that the weekly work schedules are completed and closed out.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

  • · Requires a minimum of 3-5 years’ experience in a fast-paced manufacturing
    and/or industrial maintenance environment, including minimum 3 years of
    maintenance management experience. Strong project management experience
    required.
  • Must have ability to adapt to changes in the work environment; manage competing demands; change approach or method to best fit the situation; ability to deal with frequent change, delays, or unexpected events.
  • Must have ability to work without constant supervision and to make appropriate
    decisions.
  • Must be able to effectively communicate with all levels of management, plant
    employees, and outside vendors both verbally and in written form.
  • Must be able to process work with accuracy.
  • Must be able to perform multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Must maintain prompt and regular attendance.
  • Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Job requires mobility throughout the plants, extended periods of walking or standing, ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and bend, twist, kneel and climb.


REPORT TO: Position reports to Maintenance Manager on matters of job procedures,
job performance and policy decisions. In the absence of the Maintenance Manager, the
supervisor will report to the VP.


WORKING CONDITIONS:  Requires correct PPE for given task. Requires working in
industrial/manufacturing environment. Must be able to climb ladders, bend, kneel, crawl and
lift objects up to 50 lbs.
