Job Description
As a hotel maintenance worker, you are responsible for all duties at the Hotel; including preventive maintenance, necessary equipment repairs, and the implementation of safety and emergency procedures.
Job Duties include.
- Ability to maintain and repair equipment, including but not limited to: minor electrical wiring (switches, lamps), small plumbing problems (fixtures, pipe replacement), windows, doors, locks and keys, drywall repair, wallpaper repair, painting, caulking, and minor equipment repairs to washers, dryers, HVAC, and vacuum cleaners.
- Check all exterior lighting, common area lighting, and signage daily. This includes parking lot area, entrance signs, walkway lighting, corridor, lobby, elevator, etc. Keep the parking lot and entrance free of debris; i.e. cigarette butts, paper, etc.
- Organizing repair, installation, and renovation projects
- Inspect the hotel regularly to ensure it meets safety standards.
- Respond to and complete all work orders in a timely manner. Respond promptly to guest complaints and requirements regarding maintenance and/or safety issues.
- Act fast to resolve emergency issues (e.g. power outages)
- Must adhere to all safety and work rules, procedures, and policies.
Qualifications:
- Two+ year’s maintenance experience.
- Working knowledge in at least two of the following technical areas: HVAC, refrigeration, plumbing, carpentry, or electrical.
- Must possess the ability to work all shifts as required.
- Must adhere to the Comfort Inn Conference Center Pittsburgh East Policies and Procedures Manual and Employee Handbook.

The employee regularly will be required to use sustained mental and visual concentration, lift, reach and lift overhead, push, pull, bend, stoop, kneel, climb, lift overhead, crouch, stand, walk, use repetitive motions, hear, speak, use hands to finger, handle, or feel, and consistently lift, push, or carry up to 50 pounds. The employee occasionally will be required to push, lift or carry up to 100 pounds.
