Maintenance Tech (Kaizen)

Job Summary:

This position will focus on improving productivity and help with equipment quality improvements. The successful candidate will have a good knowledge and understanding of production parts, ability to train production leaders, and create SOP’s.

Essential Functions:

1. Providing correct productivity (OP rate, Direct flow rate) data from each production line and create a Kaizen plan for worst scenarios.

2. Corrects and organizes problem point C/M sheet from floor each week.

3. Train team leaders and confirms MT and CT of all equipment (once a week).

4. Performs countermeasures if lines do not meet MT and CT plans.

5. Coordinates with production managers on defect items.

6. Performs one Kaizen activity with one person daily.

7. Actively compiles Before & After data on Kaizen sheet and reports it at Productivity Improvement Meeting (2 times a month).

8. Performs 5S activities.

9. Performs other duties as assigned.

1. Interacts with co-workers, customers, outside vendors, and government officials.

2. Maintains a clean working environment.

3. Continuously seeks to improve processes and procedures.

4. Promotes a safe working environment for all Associates.

5. Communicates with Associates and Assistant Manager/Manager regarding safety, quality, and production issues.

Requirements •

Education: Two to four year technical degree desired.

• Experience: One to two years’ experience with Production Environment / Data Collection.

• Skills: Good understanding of Production lines and Data entry. Must have previous experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

• Working Conditions: Position requires the ability to type, bend, twist, reach, perform repetitive arm movements, lift up to 30 pounds, stand on concrete for extended periods of time, work mandatory overtime, and withstand temperatures of up to 100 de
