SUMMARY

To further the mission of the camp through the planning and delivery of a programs that are safe, fun, and appropriate to the campers' ages and abilities. Assist in the care and maintenance of the specific program and related equipment. Should be available beginning June 6, 2024 through August 6, 2024.

  • AGE: Minimum age of 18.
  • EDUCATION: High School Diploma
  • RELATED EXPERIENCE: no experience needed
  • CERTIFICATIONS: Current certification in first aid and CPR (or willing to obtain during employment).
  • WORK ENVIRONMENT/MINIMUM PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: must be able to work in an outdoor environment on a daily basis

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Camp Marcil at Round Meadow Summer Camp Team Members are Instructors for various programs and are required to teach a specific activity/ program at camp.
  • Applicants must demonstrate a strong aptitude in their specialty area and should have experience teaching or coaching children.
  • All new applicants must be at least 18-years-old

Specific Program Areas

  • Adventure: Outdoor Survival Skills, Hiking & Exploring, Outdoor/ Open Fire Cooking, Astronomy, Orienteering
  • Aquatics: lifeguards for pool & lake - Candidates must have current lifeguard certification or must obtain lifeguard certification prior or during staff training (must show very strong swimming skills and be able to demonstrate all strokes efficiently)
  • Arts & Crafts: General Arts and Crafts, Drama/ Theater, Drumming/Musicians
  • Athletics: Archery, Yoga, Zumba, Gaga
  • Challenge Course: Candidates should have former experience and/ or certifications in in High Ropes, Low Ropes, Teambuilding, Zip Lines, Climbing Tower
