Azure Cloud Architect

We have an exciting opportunity for a Azure Cloud Architect to join our team.

Responsibilities:

• To provide Architecture Solution to Design and implement cloud data solutions on the Microsoft Azure platform.
• Migrate on-premises databases and data warehouses to Azure services such as SQL Database, SQL Data Warehouse, etc.
• Implement data processing pipelines using Azure Data Factory, Databricks, Azure Machine Learning, Azure Logic Apps, Azure Function Apps, Azure Kubernetes container and other big data services.
• Architect Azure data storage solutions utilizing storage services like Blob, Files, Table, etc.
• Design data integration between on-prem and cloud using Azure Data Factory and other tools such as Azure Synapse Analytics.
• Implement metadata management, data lineage, and auditing capabilities on Azure data platforms using Purview.
• Architect data analytics solutions on Azure using services like Synapse Analytics, Databricks and Machine Learning etc.
• Design scalable and high-performance data solutions leveraging caching, partitioning, etc.
• Implement data security controls across Azure data platforms and integrations.
• Support migrating big data workloads like Hadoop to Azure services like HDInsight.
• Automate data platform deployment and configuration using Terraform, ARM templates, and Azure DevOps.
• Lead development of policies, standards, and guidelines that direct the selection, development, implementation and use of Infrastructure and Information Technology within the enterprise.
• Work with stakeholders to understand their business needs and requirements.
• Develop technical solutions that meet those needs and requirements.
• Perform capacity planning and disaster recovery planning and design as applicable.
• Perform necessary infrastructure maintenance in accordance with policies.
• Lead the implementation of cloud data solutions.
• Monitor and optimize the performance of cloud data solutions.
• Stay up to date on the latest cloud data technologies.

Qualifications:

• US Citizens only
• 10+ years of experience in cloud data architecture with a focus on Microsoft Azure.
• Experience with data warehouse and big data technologies such as Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure Data Lake Storage, Spark, Kafka, Databricks, and Containers.
• Experience with ETL tools such as Azure Data Factory and Databricks.
• Experience with data analytics tools such as Stream Analytics, Power BI, and Time Series Insights.
• Experience with cloud infrastructure automation tools such as ARM templates, Terraform, Ansible, and PowerShell.
• Experience with monitoring and optimizing cloud data systems.
• Experience with designing and implementing data schemas.
• Experience with working in an Agile environment.
• Master’s or Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

• Design scalable and high-performance data solutions leveraging caching, partitioning, etc.
• Advanced knowledge of distributed, heterogeneous (Windows, Unix, etc.) scalable systems design; advanced knowledge of internet, intranet, and extranet systems design (security, content management, eCommerce, web, and application servers).
• Advanced knowledge of high availability/fault-tolerant systems design and transparent application fail-over; advanced knowledge of relational and spatial database design, logical and physical system architecture, and object-oriented analysis and design.
• Advanced knowledge of replication, backup, and disaster recovery design; knowledge of IT governance and operations+E92.
• Advanced knowledge of SOA concepts and related frameworks; advanced knowledge of system sizing, capacity planning and performance tuning, and storage and area network architecture.
• Implement data security controls across Azure data platforms and integrations.
• Support migrating big data workloads like Hadoop to Azure services like HDInsight."
• Automate data platform deployment and configuration using Terraform, ARM templates and Azure DevOps.
• Excellent communication skills (written and oral); ability to explain complex technical issues in a way that non-technical people may understand
