JOB SUMMARY:

As the Creative Director at Certified Angus Beef, you'll be at the forefront of shaping the visual narrative of a beloved brand. Your ability to lead, inspire, and strategically guide the creative team will be crucial in delivering compelling and mouthwatering content that resonates with beef enthusiasts worldwide. A big picture thinker, this person will supervise the creative process for all brand marketing content, acting as the guardian and cultivator of the Certified Angus Beef brand identity.


Essential Functions:

  • Develop and drive the overall creative strategy aligned with Certified Angus Beef's brand identity and business objectives.
  • Lead and mentor the creative team, fostering a collaborative and innovative environment that encourages the team's growth and development.
  • Ensure consistent adherence to brand guidelines across all creative assets, maintaining the integrity and relevance of the Certified Angus Beef ®
  • Campaign Conceptualization: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to conceptualize and develop creative campaigns that resonate with target audiences and elevate brand awareness and grow brand loyalty.
  • Content Creation Direction: Guide the development of engaging and shareable social media content, photography, designs and videos that amplify the brand's presence and resonate with consumers and licensed partners. Review and provide feedback on content ensuring it aligns with the brand and project goals.
  • Stay current with industry trends, design innovations, and emerging technologies to infuse fresh ideas into the creative process.
  • Work closely with marketing leadership to align creative initiatives with broader marketing strategies, ensuring a seamless integration of creative and marketing efforts.
  • Effectively communicate creative concepts and ideas to both internal teams and external stakeholders, showcasing the strategic thinking behind each creative direction.
  • Budget Management: Collaborate with the marketing team and leadership to manage creative development investments in technology, video/photo production equipment, freelancers and agency partners, making strategic decisions that maximize the impact of dollars.
  • Track and analyze the performance of creative campaigns and initiatives, leveraging data-driven insights to refine future creative strategies.
  • Manage relationships with external creative agencies, freelancers, photographers, and videographers to ensure high-quality and timely deliverables.
  • Collaborate with various departments including marketing, production, technology and sales to ensure alignment of creative efforts across the organization.
  • Tackle challenges creatively and proactively, finding innovative solutions that align with the brand's vision and objectives.

Travel: Must be willing and able to travel (car or airplane), up to approximately 15%. May require overnight travel and/or weekend work.


Location: This in-office (not remote) position is located in Wooster, Ohio.


Supervisory Responsibilities

This position will be responsible for supervising members of the creative team.


EMPLOYMENT STANDARDS:

Education/Experience: Any combination of education and experience that would provide the required skill and knowledge for successful performance would be qualifying.  Typical qualifications would be equivalent to:

  • Possession of a Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university, in marketing, fine arts, or a related field
  • 7+ years of experience in creative roles, with at least 3 years in a leadership capacity
  • Proven track record in leading and inspiring creative teams
  • Deep understanding of brand identity and modern visual communication
  • Exceptional portfolio showcasing innovative campaigns and designs
  • Experience in the food industry or related field is a plus
  • Agency experience a plus


Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • A visionary eye that can turn a simple idea into a sizzling creative masterpiece
  • Mastery of design tools like Adobe Creative Suite
  • A deep love for storytelling, with the ability to craft narratives that sizzle
  • Exceptional leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and guide a diverse creative team
  • Up-to-date with the latest design, marketing, and food trends
  • Outstanding communication skills – you can articulate your vision well
  • Ability and desire to embrace and emulate a servant based leadership approach
  • Ability to select, supervise, train, and evaluate employees
