SUMMARY:

The Bartender is responsible for the overall guest experience of bar patrons and overall sanitation of their assigned post. The Bartender is responsible for monitoring all consumption of alcohol by each of their patrons and alerting the F&B Manager or member of the Security Department, in the event, that a guest needs to be cut off or escorted out of the venue. The Bartender will have full knowledge of the food menu as well as drink specials, bar focused events, and any issues pertaining to product shortage. The Bartender is responsible maintaining all the policies and practices as highlighted in Title 31, proper cash handling, and the safe and responsible sale and service of food and alcohol. The server should also possess general understanding of food safety and sanitation procedures.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include but are not limited to the following:

  • Facilitating the operation of the assigned venue in accordance with established Policies and Procedures.
  • Maintains the sanitation, inventory, and organization of the bar, at all times.
  • Comprehensive and complete knowledge of Tribal, State, and Federal Laws and Statutes pertaining to the responsible and safe service of alcohol.
  • Provides a lasting memory for guests through attention to detail attentive service, active and engaging conversation and responsible service of alcohol.
  • Follows all procedures as pertaining to accurate handling of cash and turns in all required monies owed to the Food and Beverage Department with all necessary documentation.
  • Responsible for the declaration of all gratuities paid in an accurate and honest manner.
  • Work in co-ordinance with the Bar Management and Security Department to address, prevent, and resolve all alcohol-based entity related situations.
  • Assists with the clearing and reset of tables in a timely and sanitary fashion.
  • Keep all areas clean & sanitized as directed.
  • Responsible for maintaining a regular, consistent attendance record.
  • Other duties as assigned by the F&B Director and Human Resources.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of 1 years full-service bartending experience, preferred.
  • Alcohol Awareness / Alcohol Server License and Food Handler Certification required.
