Job Description
Automated Dairy is looking for a Staff Accountant to join our accounting team at the company headquarters in Jerome, Idaho. This position works directly with the controller and a collaborative team.
Purpose: Provides financial information to management by researching, analyzing, and validating accounting data.
Job Duties:
· Responds to inquiries from the Controller and managers regarding financial results, special reporting requests etc.
· Reviews and analyzes the General Ledger on a daily basis.
· Play a critical role in month-end, quarter-end and year-end closing procedures.
· Summarizes current financial status by collecting information, preparing balance sheet, profit and loss statement, and other reports.
· Validates financial transactions by auditing documents.
· Maintains accounting controls by preparing and recommending policies and procedures.
· Reconciles financial discrepancies by collecting and analyzing account information.
· Maintains customer confidence and protects operations by keeping financial information confidential.
Other Responsibilities:
· Completes various audits and other duties as assigned or as necessary.
Organizational Responsibilities:
· Identifies areas for improvement and offers suggestions to improve the efficiency, productivity, and profitability of the company.
· Keep up to date on new trends and changes in area(s) of responsibility.

Required Qualifications:
- Exceptional communication and customer service skills.

- Maintain a positive attitude with a willingness to learn and grow.
- Microsoft Excel Knowledge
Preferred Qualifications:
- BA/BS Degree in Accounting
- 2-3 years of accounting experience
- Microsoft Dynamics BC experience
- Detailed-oriented, trustworthy, able to follow directions, shows initiative.
Physical Demands:
· Applicant must be able to sit for long periods of time.
· Must be able to pass a physical agility test, background and drug test.
