Accounting/Tax Professional

Job Summary:
Padgett Business Services-Wasatch Front is seeking a highly capable Accounting/Tax Professional to join our team who is enthusiastic, friendly, and dedicated to providing exceptional service to our clients . The ideal candidate for this position will be able to work independently to oversee all aspects of accounting and taxes for our small business clients. The Accounting/Tax Professional will have a detail-oriented nature as well as an understanding of corporate and individual taxation laws.

Compensation & Benefits:
This is a full-time, salary position in the Accounting & Finance industry.  In addition to salary, we offer an excellent benefits package including medical insurance, retirement, and disability insurance.

Responsibilities:
• Handle payroll, accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and bank account reconciliation
• Preparation of various tax documents including sales tax returns, business tax Returns, individual tax returns, and tax projections
• Provide general consultation to clients on taxation and cost-saving strategies
• Ensure compliance with Federal and State regulations
• Prepare financial statements and reports
• Identify and resolve discrepancies

Requirements:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or related field
• EA or CPA designation preferred
• 3+ years of experience in Accounting or the taxation field
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, Xero, QuickBooks, and other accounting software
• Outstanding organizational and problem-solving skills
• Excellent analytical and critical thinking skills
• Exceptional oral and written communication skills
