Medical Assistant
Thomasville, GA | Temp to Perm | $12.00 / Hour
A pediatric doctor’s office looking for a medical assistant to greet patients and parents, schedule appointments, handle inbound and outbound calls as well as check vitals, handle patient information, and assist the doctor. You will be an integral part of our team and will be expected to provide high quality patient advice and assistance, have a good service attitude, and be always willing to help.
Responsibilities
- Handle the phones
- Greet all patients
- Complete data entry, process payments, and schedule appointments
- Cross train into a Medical Assistant
- Assist in clinical tasks: check vitals, chart patient information, and assist the physician
- Assist with any additional duties as requested by management
Experience and Education
- High School Diploma or GED
- Medical Assistant Diploma or Certification of Completion required
- Minimum of 1 Year Clinical Experience Required
Requirements
- Be an effective communicator, both spoken and written; professional, clear, concise
- Be a self-starter with strong organizational skills
- Have the ability to prioritize, follow-up, and follow-through on tasks
- Have a positive attitude, be a fast learner, and be persistent
- Have well-developed interpersonal and communication skills
- Be able to lift and move 25 pounds
- Have a clean background check and a clean drug screen
- Wear business casual attire or solid-colored scrubs and closed toed shoes
Location: Thomasville, Georgia
Pay Rate: $12.00 / Hour
Schedule: Monday – Friday 7:00AM – 5:30PM – Will travel to the Cairo location once a week
