We have a large Gas Distribution project running in Central and Eastern Iowa over the next few years and are seeking to hire a variety of union Laborers, Operators, Fusers, and Foremen to join our growing team. Each position varies in job duties and responsibilities. The information listed below is a broad overview of all job openings.

 

The Title of Position will be responsible for the following:

 

  • Laborer: assist in all functions of the crew, follow safety regulations, ability to stay on task and remain productive, etc.
  • Operator: operates different types of equipment, assist Foreman and other crew members as needed, assist in training and other crew members, etc.
  • Fuser: install, troubleshoot, maintain piping systems, and assist other crew members as needed, etc.
  • Foreman: oversees the crew but assist with day-to-day functions of the crew as needed, manage production schedule, ensure safety compliance, work with other leaders of the company to ensure all goals are being met, serve as point of contact for inspectors, customers, and any outside contacts, etc.

 

 

Requirements:

  • Flexibility to work varying schedules and stay late as needed
  • Ability to work in changing weather conditions
  • Willing to travel overnights during the construction season
  • Ability to stand or sit for long periods of time and maneuver in small areas
  • Federal Med/Health Card
  • Strong communication skills
  • Preferred Class A CDL with tanker endorsement, but not required
