Summary: Rock Lane Marina offers a full-service experience for our Resort guests and those enjoying their time out on the magnificent Table Rock Lake. The Dock Attendant will successfully complete all tasks related to the smooth and safe operation of the Marina as instructed to create the best overall experience for all who visit!

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Greets and serves all Marina guests quickly while providing excellent customer service
  • Provides efficient service with ice, fuel, and other sundries as requested
  • Operates fuel pumps and follows all processes concerning payment
  • Follows all safety and compliance regulations, with daily inspections to ensure safe conditions
  • Keeps the docks and customer areas clean and organized
  • Professionally maintains and cleans equipment, docks, and other areas as instructed by management
  • Reports any damage to vessels and docks to management in a timely manner
  • Exhibits a friendly, positive and energetic attitude that contributes to the Marina’s welcoming appearance and experience
  • Demonstrates attentiveness when customers are around the dock, assisting as needed
  • Operate cash register
  • Assist customers with retail items
  • Other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skill, and Ability Requirements

  • Must be age 18+
  • Able to promote team attitude and support other team members and departments so that the customers have a seamless experience while at the Marina.
  • Able to safely move boats and equipment as instructed
  • Efficiently provides excellent customer service
  • Previous knowledge of boats, watersports, marina operations a plus
  • Previous cash register experience a plus
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

Education and Experience

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
  • A minimum of 1 years’ experience in customer service preferred.

Must be able to speak, read, write, and comprehend the English language. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.

Mathematical Skills

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

Reasoning Ability

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to reach conclusions, arrive at solutions, and make decisions based on available evidence.

Other Qualifications

Availability Open and operational seven days a week. Employees may be asked to work longer days, on the weekends, and over holidays.

License Requirements Valid driver’s license in effect with no major violations
