Oertel Metalworks is currently seeking an Industrial Worker-Welder based out of Davenport, Iowa.

The Industrial Worker-Welder is responsible for assisting the apprentices or journeymen with various steps in the fabrication process and helping to maintain the cleanliness and safety of the shop. This could include operating a fork truck, moving materials, setting up or operating various equipment, assisting with shipping/receiving & assembly, or other shop tasks.  This also includes some MIG, TIG and stick welding.

Previous CNC Machining experience is a plus for this position.

What makes you successful in this position:

• A current, valid drivers license
• Experience in welding, fabrication, assembly, or CNC machining
• Previous work experience working with your hands and physical labor
• Must be highly motivated, able to work independently and think of yourself as mechanically inclined

This position works Monday to Friday from 7:00am to 3:30pm each day, with the option for overtime. Base pay starts at $21.19/hour.
