GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Repairs and maintains machinery, plumbing, physical structure, and electrical wiring and fixtures in accordance with blueprints, manuals, and building codes.
  2. Comply with all Company policies and procedures.
  3. Comply with all safety procedures and PPE requirements.
  4. Maintain an exceptionally clean and orderly work area.


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  1. Must have a working knowledge of controls for air conditioning and heating systems, boiler, air compressors, furnaces, ovens, and modern machine tools.
  2. Installation of machinery, electrical circuits, water lines and low-pressure lines.
  3. Must be able to trace and analyze problems in electronic and hydraulic circuits.
  4. Must be capable of operating gas and electric welding equipment.
  5. Inspects machinery and mechanical equipment for defects.
  6. Dismantles machines or equipment to gain access to defective parts and repairs them.
  7. Measures, cuts and installs pipe and tubing for gas, water, and hydraulic lines.
  8. Repairs and replaces gauges, valves, pressure regulators and other plumbing equipment.
  9. Inspects, documents, and maintains integrity of hazardous waste storage area, and all designated emergency response equipment.

PRE-DETERMINED QUALIFICATIONS:

  1. Regular Attendance.
  2. Three years’ experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
  3. Electrician’s license or certificate required.
  4. Hazardous Waste Management training required initially and annually.
  5. Good written and verbal communication skills.
  6. Ability to make sound judgment based on consistent and objective measures.


PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  1. Ability to sit or stand for 8 consecutive hours.
  2. Ability to safely lift 25lbs. unassisted.
  3. Frequent kneeling, crouching, bending, stooping, reaching, and pushing.
  4. Duties include care and maintenance of equipment, tooling, materials, and work area.
  5. Ability to operate a tow motor.
  6. Ability to make sound judgment based on consistent and objective measures.
  7. Exposure to manufacturing environment, including dust, noise and vibration.
