3rd shift - Assembly, $19.50 - Fort Wayne

Workbox Staffing is hiring Assemblers in Fort Wayne.
This is not your typical assembly position. At this company, they assemble large equipment that is used in excavating operations around the world! In this role, you will be responsible for assembling screens, feeders, and their subassemblies following blueprints and other written and verbal specifications. You will need to have mechanical aptitude, be comfortable working with power tools, be able to operate (or be willing to learn how to use) an overhead crane, and read blueprints

Qualifications:
- The grinding shield is worn in the proper position required at all times while grinding.
- Plans assembly procedures, following specifications.
- Filing and grinding of metal to clean parts or to produce a close fit between parts.
- Drills, taps, or reams holes.
- Aligns components, and bolts them together.
- Installs moving parts, such as shafts or bearings, and works them to test free movement.
- Aligns and meshes gears to assemble a system of gears.
- Installs mesh cloth, perforated plate, or urethane panels.
- Tests or assists in the testing operation of the completed product.
- Uses hoists and cranes to move or assemble subcomponents.
- Operates magnetic drills, grinders, reamers, and impacts as necessary.
- Responsible for care and use of tools, and returns to crib when done.
Skills:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Ability to read a blueprint
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
- Ability to walk; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
- Must be able to lift up to 100 lbs but 50lbs regularly
