Job Description

The Lucky Snake Arcade & Raceway is the Largest Arcade on the East Coast. We believe in the philosophy of "teamwork" this means we all help each other to achieve every goal of each day. As an Arcade Technician you will work with the amusement department managers to help keep all our awesome arcade games and equipment looking great and working properly. Each arcade game is unique, which makes this job perfect for someone who enjoys solving problems, knows computers, and thrives in a team atmosphere. Help our guests have a great time by assisting the department managers in guest service, performing routine maintenance, diagnosing game issues, and making repairs to games and other equipment.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

  • Install, maintains and repair arcade games and various equipment.
  • Assist in training team members with familiarity of equipment and basic repair problems.
  • Responsible for daily review of out of service equipment and repair needs.
  • Contact manufacturers to obtain part numbers and assisting in diagnostics when repairs need to be escalated.
  • Ability to interact with arcade patrons, associates and other management team members to provide optimal guest service experience.
  • Required to maintain the highest standards of organization and cleanliness.
  • Ensure timely response to maintenance requests for services by guests, employees, and management with the goal of keeping maximum number of games operational.
  • Point out an assist in eliminating safety concerns.
  • Understand and complete required paperwork and daily checklists for ride/attractions in accordance with State requirements.
  • Assist with maintaining inventory of parts and equipment.
  • Required to diagnose equipment/game malfunctions.
  • Assist with occasionally relocating games.
  • Perform preventative maintenance and special projects which include, but not limited to:
    • Equipment maintenance: clean, lubricate, change filters, bets, pulleys, cleaning coils, lubricating, basic troubleshooting, etc.
    • Light electrical: replace bulbs, ballasts, outlets, and switches.
    • To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty to the satisfaction of Lucky Snake Arcade & Raceway.
    • Completes other duties and assignments as needed.

Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS, EDUCATION And/or EXPERIENCE

  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Possess knowledge of basic computer/electronics maintenance and repair.
  • Previous experience with arcade game maintenance (Preferred but not required)
  • Ability to operate forklift and other heavy machinery a plus.
  • Ability to read electrical and other mechanical instructions and schematics.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • General knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
  • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Knowledge of using multi-meter with low and high voltage.
  • General knowledge of safely operating tools and equipment.
  • One year of related experience and/or training; or Equivalent combination of education and experience preferred.
  • Reliable attendance is mandatory.
