Job Description
Title: Production Lead - Food Manufacturing
Salary: $65,000 + based on experience
Location: Alma, GA
Hours: 1st shift Fulltime – Direct Hired

Interested in the Production Lead position and make a significant impact on our client’s food manufacturing operations. As a seasoned leader in the food industry, you will oversee production activities, ensure product quality and safety standards are met, and lead a team of production workers to achieve operational goals.
Responsibilities:
  • Supervise and coordinate production activities in a food manufacturing facility, ensuring adherence to production schedules and quality standards.
  • Train, mentor, and provide guidance to production staff, including machine operators, packers, and sanitation workers, to optimize performance and productivity.
  • Monitor production processes and equipment to identify and resolve any issues or bottlenecks that may affect efficiency or product quality.
  • Conduct regular inspections of production areas to ensure compliance with food safety regulations, sanitation protocols, and GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) standards.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including quality assurance, maintenance, and logistics, to address production-related issues and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Maintain accurate production records, including production logs, batch records, and inventory reports, to track production output, raw material usage, and product yields.
  • Enforce safety policies and procedures to create a safe work environment for all employees, and actively promote a culture of safety awareness and compliance.
  • Participate in production meetings, performance reviews, and training sessions to communicate goals, expectations, and feedback to the production team.
Qualifications or Requirements:
  • Minimum of 5+ years of experience in food manufacturing, with at least 3+ years in a leadership or supervisory role.
  • Strong knowledge of food safety regulations, HACCP principles, and FDA guidelines.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire team members to achieve production targets.
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) systems.
  • Develops and recommends corporate operations policy within the Operations and Production Department.
  • Develops specific short-term and long-term plans and programs, together with supporting budget requests and financial estimates.
