Boat Driver

We are currently seeking a Boat Driver to join our team at Callaway Gardens! As a Boat Driver, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and enjoyable operation of our rental equipment and providing exceptional customer service to our guests.

Responsibilities:

• Train on daily operation duties, including opening and closing rental procedures, safety standards, and basic boating courses.
• Prepare all daily equipment, safety checks, and operational duties.
• Maintain documentation, including guest waivers and ensure each participant has completed all necessary paperwork.
• Perform safety checks on all rental equipment daily and after each guest use.
• Provide clear communication of instructions, including safety briefings for each rental participant before entering the water.
• Maintain weekly inventory of operating supplies and rental equipment.
• Attend all required program staff meetings and trainings.
• Adhere to the company dress code and wear issued uniform and nametag.
• Create a nurturing, positive, and professional environment while promoting program policies and procedures amongst staff, volunteers, and the community.
• Communicate clearly, honestly, and respectfully with all staff and participants.
• Complete all other duties as specified during staff training and onboarding.

Qualifications:

• Minimum age requirement of 25 years
• Ability to work on your feet throughout the day and flexible working availability including weekends and holidays.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Completion of a background check
• Ability to stand for long periods of time and work outside in extreme weather conditions.
• Able to lift at least 50 lbs.
• Be able to obtain Boater Safety License and complete all course work.
• Boat driving experience preferred.
• Must have a valid driver's license.
• Strong mechanical aptitude
• Strong organizational, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills
