Job Description
Position Title: Receiving Clerk
Department: Distribution
Reports To: Director of Processing and Shop
Classification: Non-Exempt
Workdays: Monday - Friday
Schedule: 8:00 am - 4:30 pm

Primary Function:
Verifies and accurately receives incoming shipments, ensures all inventory items are properly identified and prepares items for distribution to the appropriate internal departments.
Responsibilities:
- Compares identifying information and counts, weights, or measures items of incoming shipments to verify information against bills of lading, packing lists, and spec sheets.
- Examines incoming shipments, rejects damaged items, records shortages, and maintain consistent and professional communication with other internal departments to rectify damages, shortages, and any changes to inventory items.
- Accurately handle inventory item/supply transfer to ensure the product is readily accessible for Processing and Shipping.
- Operates a sit-down forklift and stand-up reach truck to move, convey, or hoist shipments from receiving dock to storage or appropriate designated locations.
- Willing to cross train in other Warehouse departments as needed to fulfill our commitments to customers.
- All other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Basic computer skills
- Ability to operate stand up forklift safely.
- Must be able to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
- Must be willing to work extended hours.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively.
