Reno Staffing is looking for maintenance tech I's for an automotive manufacturer located in the North Valleys area!
Shift Monday - Friday 2:00 p.m. - 10:00 p.m. Plus over time as needed
Pay Rate $24/hr. - $28/hr. DOE

Position Summary: Under the direction of the Maintenance Supervisor the Maintenance Technician I is responsible for performing highly diversified duties to install, troubleshoot, repair and maintain production and facility equipment according to safety, predictive and productive maintenance systems and processes to support the achievement of the site’s business goals and objectives

Responsibilities/Duties:
Able to perform all duties of Maintenance Technician I
  • Licensed Hi-lo driver 5000 lbs. to 30,000 lbs & die setting forklift use
  • Setting Tools and loading recipes for production
  • Processing
  • Use of simple machining equipment
  • Simple circuitry electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic
  • Ability to read and understand schematics
  • Perform all PMs
  • Fabrication skills
  • Basic plumbing skills
  • Thermolator repair heaters, and centrifugal pump
  • Ability to operate over head crane
  • Lock-out/Tag-out
  • Basic computer skills
  • Chemical spill responder
  • Have own tools
  • Basic skills for setting and pulling compression molds.
  • Basic skills for processing compression molds.
  • Basic preventative maintenance skills: Understanding plant/process specific procedures
  • Basic Electrical Skills: Understanding basic electricity AC and DC circuits. How to use a meter, learning to read AC and DC voltage, amperage and resistance.
  • Basic Hydraulic skills: Understanding basic hydraulics, symbols, valve function, cylinder function and simple circuits
  • Basic mechanical skills: Understanding how to disassemble repair and reassemble plant specific items, bearing replacement, carpet cutter, vacuum valves, mesh repairs etc.
  • Basic Pneumatic skills: Understanding basic circuits, valves, and systems related to compressed air
  • Perform highly diversified duties to install and maintain production machines and the plant facility’s equipment
  • Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment during production and performs scheduled maintenance repairs of production equipment during machine service
  • Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service
  • Is conscientious, and follows all plant Quality Teams’ requirements
  • Must be available on an “ON-CALL” basis
  • Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas (5S)
  • Follow all clean up and housekeeping procedures (5S) i.e. production floor, shipping & receiving office and warehouse as needed
  • Ability to communicate and understand verbal and written instructions in English
  • Perform other duties as assigned or required
Specific Knowledge, Skills, Licenses, Certifications, Etc:
Requires a high school diploma/GED and completion of skills or an equivalent number of years of education and production maintenance experience1-2 years’ manufacturing maintenance experience; strong hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical and industrial skills with some PLC experience and HVAC. Vacuum forming experience is preferred
Must be highly motivated and able to work independently

Physical Requirements:
Must be able to lift and move objects up to 50 pounds consistently with heavier weight necessary at times
Must be able to stand, kneel, bend, and climb in order to work on equipment. Must be able to use tools to preform repairs
Vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, and the ability to adjust focus to work
