Position: Remote Technician


Basic Qualifications:


To apply for the position of Remote Technician, you should meet the following requirements:


  • A minimum of one year of customer service or retail sales experience (preferred).
  • At least six months of experience in product service support or electronics troubleshooting (preferred).
  • Fundamental knowledge of mobile devices and operating systems.
  • Hands-on repair experience with hardware devices, preferably including soldering skills.
  • Flexibility to work a retail schedule, including four days per week from 9 am to 7 pm, as well as rotational weekends.
  • Successful completion of a background check (criminal and drug test).
  • Basic familiarity with Microsoft Office.


Responsibilities:


As a Remote Technician at uBreakiFix by Asurion, your key responsibilities include:


  • Operating the company van for repairs within your designated area.
  • Ensuring compliance with legal and safety protocols within the vans.
  • Expecting travel up to 100% of the time to visit customers in their residences or places of business.
  • Representing uBreakiFix by Asurion and delivering exceptional, personalized customer experiences.
  • Providing technical expertise, troubleshooting, and repairing customer electronic devices.
  • Enhancing the customer experience using the 'serve, solve, and sell' approach, promoting the uBreakiFix by Asurion Connected Home product in every transaction.
  • Achieving sales goals.
  • Managing inventory effectively.
  • Organizing same-day pick-up inventory (packing, shipping, receiving, and coordinating with delivery drivers).
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to execute programs and processes while offering feedback.
  • Self-managing and prioritizing tasks effectively in a fast-paced retail environment.
  • Gaining an understanding of the Connected Home product and offering and selling protection/tech support solutions to customers to meet their needs.
  • Consulting with customers to identify issues or explain repair procedures.
  • Repairing devices, addressing cracked glass, and conducting pre- and post-repair testing.
