Job Summary

As an Installation Project Manager, you will play a crucial role in overseeing the successful planning, coordination, and execution of various installation projects. You will be responsible for managing all aspects of the project life cycle, from inception to completion, ensuring that projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in accordance with the highest quality standards. Your role will involve collaborating with cross-functional teams, subcontractors, and clients to achieve project objectives and maintain exceptional customer satisfaction.


Duties/Responsibilities

1. Project Planning and Initiation:

  • Conduct comprehensive project planning, including defining project scope, objectives, and deliverables.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to identify project requirements, resources, and constraints.
  • Create a detailed project schedule and allocate resources appropriately.

2. Budget Management:

  • Develop and monitor project budgets, ensuring cost-effectiveness and adherence to financial targets.
  • Track expenses, manage change orders, and implement cost-saving measures when possible.

3. Team Management:

  • Assemble project teams, assign responsibilities, and provide clear direction to team members.
  • Foster a positive and collaborative team environment, encouraging effective communication and problem-solving.

4. Risk Assessment and Mitigation:

  • Identify potential risks and challenges associated with the project and develop risk mitigation strategies.
  • Proactively address any issues that arise during the project execution to minimize their impact on the project timeline and deliverables.

5. Client Communication:

  • Act as the primary point of contact for clients throughout the project, ensuring effective communication and managing client expectations.
  • Provide regular project status updates to clients, addressing any concerns and building strong client relationships.

6. Quality Assurance:

  • Enforce strict quality control measures to ensure that installations meet industry standards and client specifications.
  • Conduct inspections and quality checks at various project stages.

7. Contract Management:

  • Review and negotiate contracts with subcontractors and vendors, ensuring compliance with project requirements and legal obligations.

8. Documentation and Reporting:

  • Maintain accurate project documentation, including progress reports, change orders, and project records.
  • Prepare and present project reports to stakeholders and senior management.

9. Health, Safety, and Compliance:

  • Ensure adherence to health and safety regulations throughout the project's duration.
  • Comply with relevant codes, standards, and legal requirements.


Required Skills/Abilities

  • Education - Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Construction Management, Engineering, Business Administration) or equivalent experience.
  • Experience - Proven experience as a Project Manager, preferably with a focus on installation projects.
  • Management of Personnel Resources- Motivating, developing, and directing people as they work, identifying the best people for the job.
  • Time Management- Managing one's own time and the time of others.
  • Complex Problem Solving- Identifying complex problems and reviewing related information to develop and evaluate options and implement solutions.
  • Management of Material Resources- Obtaining and seeing to the appropriate use of equipment, facilities, and materials needed to do certain work.
  • Construction and Installation -Knowledge of relevant equipment, policies, procedures, regulations and industry practices.
  • Computer Skills- MS Word, Email and etiquette, spreadsheets in Excel (including inputting daily information), Utilizing ADP HR Online, Bluebeam software or equivalent to read PM prints, NetSuite.
  • Operation and Control- Controlling operations of equipment or systems.
  • Operations Analysis- Analyzing needs and product requirements to create a design.
  • Quality Control Analysis- Conducting tests and inspections of products, services, or processes to evaluate quality or performance.

Preferred Skills/Abilities

  • Bilingual/ Proficient in Spanish language

Certificates & Licenses

  • PMP (Project Management Professional) certification is a plus but not mandatory.

Work Environment

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to outdoor weather conditions, wet or humid conditions, working near moving mechanical parts, and fumes or airborne particles
  • Occasionally exposed to vibration, toxic or caustic chemicals and risk of electric shock.
  • Noise level in the work environment is usually loud

Physical Requirements

  • Often required to lift heavy materials exceeding 50lbs
  • Required to stand, kneel, crouch, crawl, stoop and bend for long periods
  • Require to use hands and reach with arms
  • Frequent speaking
  • The work may be either indoors or outdoors in areas that are dusty, dirty, in the rain and muddy
