Assembly & Loading Team Member

Position Summary
Upholds the Core Values as determined by the management team. Primary responsibility for all positions with Ace Hardware Longmont is to Amaze Every Customer Every Time. The Assembly and Loading associate is responsible for serving customers via prompt service in loading and other assistance, quality assembly of merchandise, and safe and efficient delivery of goods.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
•	Perform store service functions as directed including; product assembly, delivery assistance, sharpening, screen repair and rebuild, etc.
•	Assist with the completion of deliveries in a safe, efficient and courteous manner according to company guidelines. 
•	Notify customers of completed service work as needed.
•	Utilize company technology including handheld devices and computers to complete necessary tasks and track work.
•	Complete on demand services such as propane fill (if over 18), loading and glass/plexiglass cutting as necessary.
•	Aid in maintaining the organization and cleanliness of the backroom, outdoor selling areas, staging area, additional storage, etc.
•	Assist with the overall security and protection of merchandise: in lockups, outside of store, containers, etc.
•	Loading/Unloading of freight and merchandise is to be accomplished safely, carefully, and quickly, with care being taken not to injure stock or self.
•	Proper lifting techniques must be used at all times.
•	Other duties as assigned.

$14.50- $16.50 per hour

Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
•	Ability to read and follow instructions in order to complete assembly of merchandise
•	Strong attention to detail
•	Must be team and customer focused
•	Basic computer knowledge skills preferred
•	Work independently as well as a team member
•	Propane dispensing certification (if over 18 years of age- will train)

Physical Requirements
•	Frequently lift heavy items up to 40 lbs repeatedly and use “team lift” techniques or use tools available for greater weights.
•	Sit for extended periods of time and to bend, twist, squat in order to climb in and out of truck and complete assembly projects.
