In Maryland, our CNA/GNA, or in DC, our HHA, is an essential member of the health care team who works under the supervision of the Registered Nurse and performs various services for a client as necessary to meet the client’s plan of care and assist with activities of daily living. The CNA/GNA/HHA is responsible for observing clients, reporting and documenting observations, and care functions performed.
