Position Overview

Reporting to the Sr. Director of Demand Generation within the Go to Market Activation team, the Senior Event Marketing Manager will work closely with internal stakeholders across the organization, external vendors, venues, and organizations hosting events we sponsor to ensure Bonterra's presence at in-person events drives impactful engagement with new and existing customers leading to revenue opportunities.

The ideal candidate will have an in-depth understanding and experience in delivering B2B Conferences, trade shows, speaking engagements, customer events and fulfilling deliverables associated with sponsorships to budget and on agreed upon timelines. They will be detail-oriented, responsive, solution-oriented, and able to manage multiple projects at once. They will be passionate about creating experiences that represent the solutions that Bonterra offers well.

Responsibilities

  • Own event logistics including proper staffing, travel, booth presence, on-site experiences, coordination of external vendors, delivery of sponsorship benefits, post-event learnings and reporting, and recommendations for improvement.

  • Develop and execute marketing strategiesto build experiences that will drive high quality leads, accelerate deals, and build relationships with customers across all aspects of the event including social media coverage, email marketing, and booth enhancements

  • Define event KPIs and measure to those KPIs, including reporting out on event success, capturing event feedback for future planning, setting, tracking, and staying within budget.

  • Maintain project timelines and track deliverables within our project management tools to ensure on-time and replicable execution

  • Communicate event updates to key stakeholders in a timely manner and host planning sessions to keep activities on track

  • Ensure that activities and communications uphold the Bonterra brand and connect to the company vision

  • Lead onsite execution by building a production schedule and running an onsite staff briefing. As needed, serve as on-site logistics for events overseeing booth setup/takedown and activations, micro-events, preparation and presence of Sales and Enablement staff, and representing Bonterra to leads, partners, and other attendees.

  • Ensure leads generated by events are properly moved through the lead flow process and followed up on within the agreed upon timelines between Sales and Marketing

  • Liaise with GTM and Sales teams including senior leadership to research new events, sponsorship and partnership opportunities suitable for the company that may include community user conferences, roundtables, briefings, executive and influencer programs, private dinners and other micro-events. Apply similar benchmarking to previous activations to make recommendations on future participation.

  • Track best practices, industry trends, and make proactive recommendations on how best to increase engagement at events where we invest in a presence

Requirements

  • 5+ years in B2B event marketing, preferably with knowledge of SaaS and/or social good industries

  • Ability to travel up to 40%

  • Experience with supporting multiple product lines with an understanding of their unique messaging, best practices, and varying lead to pipeline timings

  • Experience managing and tracking a budget to best support event goals

  • Excellent written and verbal communication appropriate for both internal stakeholders and external partners at all professional levels

  • Experience managing multiple projects at once with varying deadlines and deliverables within a project management tool (e.g. Wrike)

  • Comfort with benchmarking and reporting on results of events

  • Creative, innovative, and resourceful problem-solver with a positive, get-it-done attitude

  • Ability to work within a highly-collaborative, fast-paced, and cross-functional team

  • Ability to find solutions in an ever-changing environment with competing priorities

  • Desire to learn new skills, proactively provide new ideas, and grow within a marketing organization

  • Comfortable working in a remote environment and connecting on camera regularly

Compensation

The range displayed on this job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Base pay is one part of the Total Package that is provided to compensate and recognize employees for their work, and in addition to benefits this role may be eligible for discretionary bonuses/incentives, and equity.

US base salary range: $98,600 - $112,000

For international applicants, actual salary offers may vary based on the local market compensation standards and will be determined in accordance with regional considerations, including but not limited to applicable laws, cost of living, and industry norms.
