Job Description

The DPS Risk Products & Solutions organization partners with our clients to provide future-ready risk products and services that enable market leading fraud performance. This Sr. Director position is responsible for managing a portfolio of Risk value added services supporting Debit, Credit and Prepaid processing.

Ownership encompasses awareness of fraud and market trends, laser focus on innovation, and delivery/launch of new world-class products and features. Ability to ideate solutions for strategic business objectives, develop requirements, define product position/pricing, and launch them effectively are key factors to success in this role. Key directives also include responsibility for driving innovation into the long-term vision of the product roadmap which maximize business and product performance. In short, this role will shape the future of fraud solutions at Visa.

This is a key leadership position with the Risk and Identify Solutions team and requires close work with all levels of internal and external stakeholders, particularly within the Issuing and RTP Risk Solutions team as well as the DPS business. This extends to Sales, Account Management, Marketing, Finance, Technology, Operations, and Legal teams, as well as the broader Issuing Solutions organization. This position will be located in the United States (Highlands Ranch Offices)

Responsibilities

  • Ownership of the full product lifecycle including product strategy, go-to-market plans, Technology partnership, revenue and adoption goals, and various other essential artifacts (concept document, business case, product backlog).
  • Ideate, innovate, and drive large-scale initiatives in partnership with other product owners and across product lines.
  • Manage a product team and ensure the delivery of services meets or exceeds specific standards developed, including best-in-class innovation and accelerated concept to market implementation delivery timelines.
  • Lead cross functional teams to ensure product enhancement and technology requests meet the business needs and are rolled-out as designed, while also managing the correction of any defects / issues associated with product suite.
  • Perform competitive, customer, and market analysis to bring new market and innovation opportunities into focus. Must become an expert on client business needs and competitive landscape evolution. Translate market and customer insights to drive product strategy and decisions.
  • You will manage and continually enhance Risk value added services, strategy, and objectives across a 3-5-year roadmap to serve as a differentiator in winning new issuer processing deals and grow Visa's value-added services business.
  • You will develop/manage product financials including product pricing and revenue/expense forecasting.
  • Clearly understand and articulate the value of both DPS and Visa's products and drive the development of product, features, and functionality.
  • Develop product positioning and messaging, set direction for marketing and sales plans, and develop collateral and sales materials.
  • Create key differentiating risk services products, while enabling Risk and Identify Solutions innovations for all issuer processing clients.
  • You will provide senior management support to assist with key client, and signature client business sales.
  • Vendor management for select products may also be required.

This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications

  • 12 or more years of work experience with a bachelor's Degree or at least 10 years of experience with an Advanced degree (e.g. Masters/ MBA/JD)
  • BA/BS degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, or equivalent practical experience in conjunction with a less technical BA/BS
  • You have 8-10 or more years of product management experience
  • You have 8-10 or more years of experience leading product lines in the technology industry
  • You have experience leading cross-functional teams including Engineering, Design, and Product Marketing
  • Expert level critical thinking, organizational, analytical and influencing skills
  • Experience leading and working within global and regional teams operating in a matrixed environment
  • Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal skills are required.
  • Must be proficient in all MS Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Access) with advanced Excel spreadsheet skills.
  • Ability to travel for business will be required.


Preferred Qualifications

  • 12 or more years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA)
  • You have prior experience as a senior leader of a product organization, preferably in the technology industry
  • Excellent public speaking skills, cross-functional communication, and emotional intelligence
  • You have a strong ability to take initiative and build strong and productive relationships across an organization
  • Visa experience or knowledge of the bankcard industry (including payment processing, back office operations and risk/fraud) a plus.
Additional Information

Work Hours: Varies upon the needs of the department.

Travel Requirements: This position requires travel5-10% of the time.

Mental/Physical Requirements: This position will be performed in an office setting. The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.

U.S. APPLICANTS ONLY: The estimated salary range for a new hire into this position is 163,800.00 to 200,300.00 USD per year, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity.
