About this job
- Partners with Company leaders and subject matter experts to identify target audience and learning objectives. Set corresponding instructional objectives.
- Creates engaging materials that support the learning objectives and provide a consistent experience to all learners.
- Develops all forms of instructional materials: eLearning, face-to-face classroom, virtual classroom, on the job performance support, videos, simulations, role play, assessments etc.
- Collects, monitors and evaluates program data to determine effectiveness, relevance and quality of materials, content and instruction.
- Creates, updates and maintains SCORM compliant eLearning modules within a Learning Management System.
- Manages all aspects of the instructional design process and maintain appropriate project documentation.
- Keeps current with market trends and demands. Stays informed on industry best practices and learning technology trends and their impact on the organization.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Required:
- Bachelor's Degree in related field or equivalent business experience
- 3 years of experience in instructional design, preferably in insurance industry
- Strong understanding of instructional design, adult learning theory, learning styles and a variety of learning methodologies
- Extensive experience with eLearning authoring tools, specifically Articulate Storyline
- Experience with virtual classroom technology and Learning Management Systems
- Experience in developing and implementing consistent learning solutions across a multi-state company
- Demonstrated organizational and project management skills
- Demonstrated ability to build strong relationships and be persuasive
- Ability to operate both independently an as part of a team
Preferred:
- Experience with Kirkpatrick model for measuring learning effectiveness
- Creativity in designing learning solutions
- Advanced presentation and facilitation skills
- Intermediate knowledge of the insurance industry, its practices and operations; preferable background in multiple lines of business.
