WY Inpatient Pharmacist (Permanent Role)

Under the supervision of the Pharmacy Manager and within a collaborative team environment, the Staff Pharmacist plays a vital role in reviewing, pounding, and dispensing medications for our inpatient population. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong clinical knowledge, attention to detail, and a dedication to patient safety. Additionally, the Staff Pharmacist will provide guidance and oversight to Pharmacy Technicians and Interns.

Location: Sheridan, WY 82801

Responsibilities:
- Review, pound, and dispense IV and oral medications according to established protocols.
- Verify medication orders for accuracy, including appropriateness of doses based on patient parameters.
- Screen for potential drug interactions and document interventions as necessary.
- Conduct medication reconciliation duties as required.
- Maintain accountability for achieving individual and team metrics.
- Provide instruction and supervision to Pharmacy Technicians and Interns.

Position Qualifications:
- Registered Pharmacist in the State of Wyoming, with license in good standing.
- Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy or Doctorate of Pharmacy degree.
- ACLS certification preferred.
- BLS certification preferred.

Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in an inpatient pharmacy setting.
- Strong interpersonal and munication skills.
