CNC Operator
PURPOSE: As part of the broader Manufacturing and Production team, the CNC Operator position is responsible for producing machined parts by programming, setting up, and operating a computer numerical control (CNC) machine; maintaining quality and safety standards; keeping records; maintaining equipment and supplies.

KEY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Performs all tasks in a safe and responsible manner
- Reads and interprets blueprints
- Properly and safely loads and unloads castings and raw materials in CNC machinery
- Uses gauges and measuring instruments to meet tolerance requirements
- Understands, interprets and edits G-code programming
- Recognizes, deploys and properly uses inserts, fixtures and tooling
- Understands and has the ability to perform tool wear offsets
- Performs daily and regular cleaning and light maintenance tasks on CNC machinery
- Utilizes and abides by ISO requirements and safety procedures
- Complies with all quality policies, specifications, regulations and instructions
MISCELLANEOUS
- Any other job-related duty as deemed appropriate by management.

Licenses or Certifications None
Required Knowledge/Experience
Knowledge of the following areas is required:
- Performing part measurement and gauging
- Interfacing with a CNC
- Making tooling decisions
- Responding to machine malfunctions
- Setting-up and operating a CNC machine
Years of Relevant (Transferable) Experience 2+ years and/or training or an equivalent combination of education and experience
