Medical Records Coordinator

George Sink Law Firm is looking for a motivated Legal Medical Records Coordinator to join our local team! As a Medical Record Coordinator, you will provide overall support to attorneys' and legal assistants with the medical records for their case files. Candidates for this position must have a strong work ethic, professional demeanor, be detail-oriented, a team player, and the ability to work well with limited supervision.

Responsibilities:

• Reviews all medical record request to ensure the request are HIPPAA/HITECH compliant
• Monitors attorney and legal assistant requests for their case files
• Process all requests for records/bills, i.e., attorney requests, patient requests, provider requests, auto insurance requests, etc.
• Certifies records as requested through CIOX
• Manage all correspondence with requestors via phone, email, or in writing
• Follows up on all outstanding invoices for medical record requests
• Adheres to all MCBS compliance policies
• Performs other duties as assigned

​Qualifications:

• Associates Degree
• Previous experience with medical records
• Ability to prioritize and multitask
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Deadline and detail-oriented
• Ability to communicate in a concise and effective manner using tact, courtesy, sensitivity, and confidentiality
• Ability to understand and follow instructions precisely with accuracy and attention to detail
