Bookkeeper Part Time

This is a fully remote role.

WSM Law is a pioneering multi-state divorce and custody litigation firm committed to representing women exclusively. Operating across 5 offices, WSM Law stands at the forefront of advocating for women's rights within the legal domain. As we expand our operations, we are looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Part-Time Bookkeeper to manage our financial records and client payments, including trust accounting and expenses management, with the flexibility to work remotely or in-person.

Responsibilities:

• Maintain accurate and current financial records for client trust accounts, payments, client expenses, and business expenses.
• Conduct trust accounting in adherence to legal standards and regulations.
• Reconcile bank accounts and maintain ledger accuracy.
• Prepare financial reports, including monthly and yearly accounts.
• Ensure accurate billing and manage expenses in coordination with the legal team.
• Support financial operations with bookkeeping and accounting tasks.
• Assist in audit preparations and financial reviews as needed.
• Candidate will work in tandem with a CPA accounting firm to assist with any tax preparation tasks.

Qualifications:

• Demonstrated experience in bookkeeping, with a strong preference for candidates familiar with trust accounting in a legal or professional services setting.
• Solid understanding of accounting fundamentals and financial reporting.
• Proficient in QuickBooks, Microsoft Office, and TimeSolv (or other timekeeping software).
• Exceptional organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
• Independent worker with the ability to manage tasks with minimal supervision.
• Effective communicator, capable of collaborating with a distributed team.
• Experience in a legal or professional services firm is a plus.
• Available to work approximately 20 hours per week, with a flexible schedule to fit candidate availability.
