Machinist

Please note: This role is based in Bell Gardens, CA.

Wilcox Machine Company, a large, Los Angeles based machine shop, is seeking experienced CNC and conventional machinists. Established in 1956, we specialize in CNC and conventional machining of large commercial, aerospace, and government parts and assemblies. Our work ranges from parts weighing a few hundred pounds to over 100,000 pounds. We primarily do prototype and low volume production work.

We are busy, with several large contracts and a steady stream of job shop work.

Qualified candidates should have:

• Qualified candidates should have a minimum of seven years machining experience;
• Knowledge of set-ups, and fixturing on large CNC and/or conventional horizontal boring mills, machining centers, lathes, and VTLs.
• "Hands on" programming and editing skills are required for CNC applicants.
• Knowledge of shop math and machining speeds and feeds is expected.
