CNC Machine Operator

JOB SUMMARY:

Compensation: Based on experience, $22 - $35 an hour

The CNC Operator is responsible for adjusting equipment during production to ensure product meets specifications. The Operator will machine production parts per the schedule. Ensure all usable tooling is properly replaced and confirm that proper tooling and inserts are being used per the set-up requirements.

Cleveland Tool and Machine is a small shop with many opportunities beyond just CNC operations, further training and opportunities available!

MAJOR JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Ability to safely and efficiently operate CNC equipment.
• Must have to ability to hold close machining tolerances, typically ±.005 or tighter.
• Must have prior experience operating 2017 or newer HAAS VMC and HAAS Lathes that are highly automated

· Understanding of tool offsets

· Ability to change fixtures and tooling as instructed

· Ability to read blue prints and inspect parts

· Ability to perform routine maintenance

· Must be dependable

• Ability to use various measuring equipment required for the job and must demonstrate correct use of calipers, indicators, micrometers, and similar gauging.
• Maintain housekeeping and machine maintenance to defined standards.
• Utilize safe working practices in all job-related functions.
• Ability to construct small HMI programs of 10 lines or less is a major plus
• Familiarity with HAAS VMC and HAAS Lathes with Live Tooling a major plus

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Minimum of 3 years of hands-on CNC operation experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Computer skills appropriate for the job.
• Ability to read and understand blueprints.
• Ability to operate a Fork Lift.
• Ability to lift a minimum of 50 pounds safely and correctly.
