WHAT YOU WILL DO

As a Systems Engineer, you are responsible for managing and maintaining our internal and remote systems, cloud providers, and security infrastructure under the general guidance of the IT Director. You will be a crucial contributor to the IT Operations team responsible for installing, supporting, and maintaining high-level systems, cloud configurations, security, and planning for and responding to service outages and other problems. Other responsibilities may include but are not limited to:

Systems Administration

• Troubleshooting Windows/Linux/Mac technologies and complex problems with servers and systems.
• Deploying new systems into various infrastructures.
• Responding to and troubleshooting problems and outages.
• Maintaining system security, utilizing monitoring tools and support services.
• Researching and making recommendations for future upgrades.

Cloud Systems Administration

• Troubleshooting AWS, Azure, and GCP deployments.
• Translating requirements into viable solutions for Blockchains and customers.
• Maintaining system security, utilizing monitoring tools and support services for all cloud services
• Maintaining current knowledge of new cloud technologies.
• Ensuring a cohesive system's topology and providing documentation and process documentation.

WHAT YOU WILL NEED TO SUCCEED

To ensure success, you have expertise in systems engineering, including design, monitoring, and implementation of a high-level security infrastructure and cloud provider configuration and support of Azure, AWS, and GCP. You have a strong understanding of VLANS, LANs, WANs, firewalls, access policies, VPNs, and encryption technologies. You have excellent customer service skills and the ability to work with executives. You are fluent in English with strong verbal and written communication skills. You have a proven ability to multi-task in a fast-paced, agile environment. You are proficient in MS Office Suite, Windows, Azure, AWS, GCP – Linux, and Android/iOS are a plus. You are proactive in problem-solving and decision-making skills and have solid experience with Macs and Apple products. You have reliable transportation and a valid driver's license. Fieldwork will be required as needed.

YOUR EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

This position requires a bachelor's degree in Computer Science from an accredited college or university (or similar experience and certifications), and a minimum of 5 years of experience as a Systems Engineer.
