Position Summary

The Treasury Management Officer is responsible for proactively attracting new business and expanding current banking relationships with treasury management and depository products. The Treasury Management Officer will partner with Commercial Lenders and other sales staff to develop and deliver customized treasury solutions in designated markets.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Actively call on new and existing commercial customers to develop and grow cash management sales business
  • Monitor customer needs and enhance profitability of all assigned relationships by proactively reviewing assigned customer base and identifying deposit and cash management services, solutions, and cross-sale opportunities
  • Create and evaluate cash management sales proposals and pricing for prospective and existing customers
  • Prepare for pre-proposal discussions to fully understand customer needs and shape preferred solutions
  • Maintain current knowledge of cash management sales programs, products, and services
  • Maintain current knowledge of applicable regulatory and compliance requirements
  • Attain or exceed new deposit and fee generation production goals
  • Manage customer portfolios and assist lenders with risk assessments
  • Complete appropriate risk assessments and due diligence for new customer acquisitions
  • Actively engage in community activities and organizations in support of network enhancement and increased brand visibility in the marketplace
  • Work with market team members to develop prospect lists
  • Support effective team dynamics by coordinating joint call efforts and effectively communicating action plans
  • Provide input on the development of new banking, deposit, and cash management products and services
  • Provide educational cash management seminars to current and prospective customers
  • Lead presentations and reports on market results and market opportunities
  • Leverage banking technology to increase efficiency and provide greater value to customers and the Bank
  • Perform or participate in internal audit processes, as needed
  • Mentor and develop new team members, as needed

Competencies & Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or related field
  • Certified Treasury Professional (CTP) credential preferred
  • 8 years progressive experience in financial services
  • 5 years experience with sales, treasury products, and product management
  • Strong understanding of financial markets, treasury management, and cash management products
  • Strategic thinking with focus on identifying and capitalizing on market opportunities
  • Proven business development and relationship management skills
  • Above average computer literacy (MS Office suite)
  • Ability to learn and become proficient with other banking technology, software, and systems
  • High level of initiative, thoroughness, accuracy, and confidentiality
  • Exceptional communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to use data to drive decisions and measure product performance
