Job Description

JUNK Brands Graphic Designer will bring a mix of design expertise and business understanding to elevate our product, marketing, and creative execution by promoting, and building credibility of our company, brands, and products through digital assets and design execution. The ideal candidate will have a strong passion for design, excellent creative skills, and a keen eye for detail. As a Marketing Graphic Designer, you will be responsible for creating visually engaging and effective marketing materials across various digital and print platforms to promote our brand and products.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Ensures end users receive an accurate depiction of their expectations, ensuring alignment between communication and outcome.
  • Tailors products to meet the unique needs of both internal and external customers.
  • Adjusts personal design approach to align with customer preferences and maintain brand consistency.
  • Maintains regular communication with project stakeholders, including Sales, Creative Manager, and Senior Designers across multiple channels.
  • Promotes continuous skill improvement among themselves and teammates, staying abreast of market trends.
  • Demonstrates commitment to JUNK Brands' values, including integrity, teamwork, and mutual respect.
  • Delivers projects efficiently and on time, meeting diverse project expectations while staying true to the brand identity.
  • Sets up, assigns, and manages tasks and timelines for the creative team, ensuring efficient workflow and timely project completion.

Skills and Competencies

  • Demonstrates exceptional communication skills across visual, written, and verbal channels, leveraging creativity and data-driven insights to inform decisions.
  • Proficient in Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, and Adobe InDesign, Asana, MS Office 365 suite (Word,Teams, Excel, PowerPoint, etc), Mac OS, DropBox, File Manager
  • Highly collaborative, adept at establishing and nurturing relationships, and demonstrates strong leadership qualities.
  • Possesses excellent time management skills, excels in multitasking, maintains organization, and upholds a strong sense of personal accountability.
  • Highly motivated with a robust work ethic, exhibiting flexibility to meet stringent deadlines.
  • Desirable proficiency in web design, coding languages such as HTML and CSS, with experience in templating languages like Liquid or Smarty, and familiarity with JavaScript considered advantageous.

Education and Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or institution in Graphic Design or a similar field.
    OR 4+ years professional experience working as a designer.
  • Portfolio must show a variety of capabilities, including (but not limited to): pattern making, apparel or product design and web design.

Physical/Mental Requirements

  • Maintains a positive, upbeat attitude.
  • Continues to seek improvement in design and production abilities.
  • Self-starter and eager to continue to learn.
  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position (seated) 80% of the day and occasionally reach, bend
  • and move inside the office to access files and product.
  • Required to have close visual acuity to perform computer tasks and operate other office machinery.
  • The person in this position frequently communicates with internal and external customers and must be
  • able to exchange accurate information in a clear manner.
  • Ability to move 10-20 lbs occasionally throughout day.
  • Able to hear a telephone ring.
