ITC Manufacturing is currently looking for a dynamic, motivated college student for our 2024 Summer Internship program which is scheduled to begin on May 22, 2024.
Position: Internship – Safety Department Specialist $20/hr
Location: Columbus Plant – Columbus, OH
SUMMARY
Our internship program provides experience enabling future professionals with the ability to apply what they are currently learning in school, to applicable situations in a career they are pursuing. Our internship program helps interns gain additional knowledge and skills that can be applied to future positions in the professional field.
The Safety Trainer / Compliance Monitor will be responsible for:
- Assist in educating and guiding all employees in safe work practices.
- Monitoring the day-to-day safety policies and procedures on the plant floor.
- Provide safety training for employees on policies, regulations and procedures.
- Assist with training system platform to train employees for ITC’s lockout tagout machine specific program.
- Assist in new hire safety orientation and training.
- Assist with writing SOP's and Policies.
Requirements:
- Attention to detail with excellent communication skills - verbal and written.
- Able to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Able to communicate with respect to others.
- Lead by example.
- Computer skills Required – to include but not limited to email and Microsoft word/excel.
- Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time.
- Familiar with OSHA guidelines.
