Grill Cook

Koko by Bakan, located in Coconut Grove Miami FL,  is seeking a skilled Grill Cook to join our dynamic culinary team. As a Grill Cook, you will be responsible for executing our menu items with precision and consistency, ensuring the highest quality of food is delivered to our guests. The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of experience working in a fast-paced grill environment, with a passion for creating exceptional dishes. Availability during lunch and dinner shifts, as well as weekends and holidays, is required. Experience with a wood grill is highly desirable.

Responsibilities:
1. Prepare and cook menu items in accordance with Koko by Bakan's standards and recipes.
2. Operate and maintain grill equipment with a focus on safety and cleanliness.
3. Monitor food temperatures and ensure proper cooking techniques are utilized.
4. Coordinate food preparation with other kitchen staff to ensure timely service.
5. Maintain a clean and organized work station, adhering to sanitation and hygiene standards.
6. Assist in inventory management by monitoring stock levels and reporting shortages.
7. Collaborate with the culinary team to develop new menu items and specials.
8. Adhere to all food safety regulations and procedures.

Qualifications:
1. Minimum of 2 years of experience working as a Grill Cook in a high-volume restaurant or similar establishment.
2. Ability to work a flexible schedule, including lunch, dinner, weekends, and holidays.
3. Proficiency in operating grill equipment and kitchen tools.
4. Strong understanding of food safety and sanitation practices.
5. Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
6. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
7. Experience with a wood grill is a plus.
8. Culinary degree or certification is preferred but not required.
