Online/Finishing Editor, DaVinci Resolve

Position Description:  

We are seeking a strong finishing and online editor with experience working in DaVinci Resolve. Selected candidates will be responsible for bringing large scale drone footage through finalizing phases of the editorial pipeline. Project tasks will include a heavy emphasis on color correction, footage stabilization, and, ultimately, footage organization. 

Ideal candidates will be confident in the tasks at hand and able to think critically about what each piece of footage requires in order to get it to the finish line. They will also need to be collaborative, working successfully as part of the broader team. This is a small boutique shop with limited technical support, therefore, it's critical for any artists working here to feel comfortable trouble-shooting minor technical issues as the need arises. A background and familiarity working in non-traditional media formats is useful.  

This position would be a contract/freelance role. It will be setup in 3-week stints, as footage from ongoing international shoots becomes available. Timeframes include: May 27 through July 5, August 19 through Sept 27, and November 4 through December 13, 2024. 

Responsibilities:  

• Adjust lighting, video stabilization, and color correction as needed 

• Follow content quality guidelines with a strong attention to detail  

• Organize, clean and maintain timelines in DaVinci Resolve 

• Deliver finalized footage under strict deadlines 

Location: Burbank, CA 

• We are only looking for candidates able to work on site at our Burbank office at this time, although a hybrid schedule may be discussed. 

Requirements:  

• Expertise in: DaVinci Resolve 

• Preferred Experience in: Shotgrid  

• 5-7 years experience MINIMUM  

• Experience working in non-traditional formats a plus!
