Germain Ford - Truck Technician

Germain Ford of Columbus is looking for a Truck Technician!

Job Duties:

1. Vehicle Inspection: Conduct thorough inspections of trucks to identify mechanical, electrical, or other issues.

2. Diagnosis: Use diagnostic tools and equipment to identify and troubleshoot problems with engines, transmissions, braking systems, and other components.

3. Repair and Maintenance: Perform necessary repairs and maintenance tasks on trucks, including engine repairs, brake replacements, and electrical system repairs.

4. Routine Service: Conduct routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, tire rotations, and fluid checks to ensure the optimal performance of vehicles.

Collaboration: Work closely with other technicians, shop foreman, advisors, and support staff to ensure efficient workflow and timely completion of tasks.

5. Adherence to Safety Standards: Follow safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment. Adhere to all safety regulations related to vehicle maintenance.

6. Continuous Learning: Stay updated on industry trends, new technologies, and advancements in truck technology. Participate in factory training programs to enhance skills and knowledge.

7. Tools and Equipment: Tools are required to perform the above repairs. Shop equipment is supplied. Properly use and maintain tools, equipment, and technology relevant to truck repair and diagnostics.

Qualifications:

· High school diploma or equivalent.

· Vocational or technical training in automotive technology or a related field or experience is required.

· Proven experience as a Truck Technician.

· Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills.

· Good communication and interpersonal skills.

· Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

· Physical stamina and dexterity to perform manual tasks.
