Host Job Description

Why is a host/ hostess job so important to the success of a restaurant?

They often control the entire flow of the restaurant and can set the tone for the diners' complete experience, ensuring that they walk in and walk out feeling important and seen. We aim to exceed expectations and with that, seek individuals who can manage the front door with confidence, professionalism, and genuine kindness.

Host responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Welcome guests to the restaurant.

  • Provide accurate wait times and monitor waiting lists.

  • Manage reservations.

  • Escort customers to assigned dining or bar areas.

  • Provide menus and announce the Waiter/Waitress’s name.

  • Bid farewell to customers upon their departure.

  • Coordinate with wait staff about available seating options

  • Maintain a clean reception area.
