JOB SUMMARY

The RTD Manager is responsible for executing the plans that lead to the development of the RTD category for brands sold by Goldring Gulf Distributing. The RTD Manager will be responsible for executing sales and marketing plans that deliver incremental volume and profits for our RTD portfolio in accounts serviced by Goldring Gulf Distributing.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  1. Maintain contact with SVP, GM & Suppliers to obtain the necessary information for proper sales, merchandising, and implementation of all retail RTD programs across all channels.
  2. Be point of contact, category manager, to grow share, distribution, and space, as well as assist with resets and delivery of products to insure proper merchandising of the RTD portfolio.
  3. Work with the Sales Managers to provide direction to the DSM, ASM and Sales Team members regarding RTD category priorities.
  4. Work with sales personnel to educate and train, as well as determine appropriate distribution, and sell in feature activity for the RTD category.
  5. Sell in maintain and grow RTD programs to the Independent, Chain, and On-Premise classes of trade.
  6. Develop and assist with presentations for the RTD portfolio at company sales meetings, and in other GDH assigned companies as requested.
  7. Communicate pricing discrepancies and opportunities by chain to the chain department in a timely manner.
  8. Work with the chain department to grow share, distribution, and space for the GDH RTD category within Chain class of trade.
  9. Be the champion of the RTD Category for the company.
  10. New Category development, leadership, and management opportunities, in which same duties would apply upon assignment.
  11. Conduct all your activities within the guidelines of all company policies and procedures.
  12. Keep shelves and vendors clean. Place product on hand truck or dolly.
  13. Perform all work activities in accordance with the safe work practices, policies and procedures.
  14. Perform all other duties as assigned and deemed appropriate.
  15. Willingly completes other duties as assigned to meet the strategic and operational and financial objectives of GDH.

Technology

  1. Effectively uses office equipment (copiers, fax machines, scanners), a personal computer and Microsoft Office products: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Explorer.

Efficiently uses operations management software, including VIP and RAS.

QUALIFICATIONS

  1. Preferred bachelor’s degree.
  2. At least 5 years of industry-related experience, including three years in sales management required.
  3. Knowledge of and demonstrated experience with transportation management software. Prior use of RAS and an understanding of VIP or similar software package.
  4. Personable, highly organized, detail oriented.
  5. Access to reliable transportation. If driving an automobile while on company business, must possess a valid driver’s license in your state of residence and auto insurance. Must be able to pass a background check, MVR, and drug screen.

WORKING CONDITIONS / PHYSICAL DEMANDS
    1. Frequently (50%+ of time) required to walk and talk or hear.
    2. Occasionally required to stand; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel object, tools, or controls; and reach with hands and arms.
    3. Frequently (50%+ of time) lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
    4. Frequently (50%+ of time) Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision and depth perception.
    5. Occasionally (less than 25% of time) exposed to moving mechanical equipment and fumes or airborne particles. The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet.
    6. Frequently (more than 50% of time) travel throughout the GDH sites.
    7. Occasional (less than 25% of time) weekend and/or overtime work, primarily at start-up or when taking on new business.
