Landscaping Turf Technician

Requirements

What your responsibilities will be, but not limited to:

• Apply fertilizer and pre-emergent to turf, trees, and shrubs
• Schedule route for applications of fertilizers based on sold work orders
• Maintain inventory of turf fertilizers and chemicals
• Drive, use, maintain, and properly operate landscape equipment
• Bring a cooperative and enthusiastic attitude to the job site
• Ensure all job-related tasks are performed safely and efficiently and use all tools and equipment in accordance with company safety policy
• Ensure that all work is performed in accordance with industry and company standards
• Maintain a polite, friendly, and responsive demeanor with colleagues, guests, and customers
• Must be authorized to work in the United States
• Must have a verified, currently active Virginia Pesticide Spray Applicator license

You may be a good fit if you:

• At least 18 years old, can work Saturdays and in inclement weather (required)

• Driver’s license is satisfactory

• Enthusiastic, dependable, engaging, and can motivate others

• Able to manage time and workload effectively working in a team environment

• Attention to detail and problem-solving skills are strong

• Has considerable horticultural knowledge
• Knowledgeable and able to stay up to date of MSDS and chemical uses

• Safe when working with equipment and can lift over 50lbs

• Experience in fertilizer and pesticide application is a minimum of one year (preferred)

• Bilingual in Spanish (very valuable, but not required)

Benefits

Salary: $45,000-$55,000 (based upon experience)
