Job Description:
We are looking for Host/Hostess to join our team. Our ideal candidate is a a self-starter, motivated, and engaged and be able to work in a fast, friendly and dynamic environment.

Job Summary
This position is responsible for greeting diners in an upbeat, positive and courteous manner, following established restaurant standards. To uphold and ensure compliance with all company and departmental policies and procedures.

Responsibilities
  • Report to work at the scheduled time, neatly groomed and in a clean and appropriate attire.
  • Prepare host stand with appropriate menus for service prior to guest arrival, inspecting all guest areas for cleanliness, bathrooms for supplies, ensuring that appropriate music is at a proper volume, inspection of all tables for readiness and correctness of established settings.
  • Manage OpenTable reservations, noting large parties, special occasions, diner notes and requests.
  • Seat diners according to established Carmines Standards.
  • Handle all incoming phone calls.
  • Call and confirm upcoming reservations,
  • Take call-in food orders, manage and handle delivery of online orders.
  • Assist in the monitoring of diners' satisfaction and anticipating needs without requiring direction.
  • Assist in the clearing and resetting of tables as needed.
  • Be attentive when diners leave.
  • Attend all scheduled employee meetings, tastings and trainings
  • In addition, other duties may be required as directed by your Manager.
Qualifications
  • Must have a basic understanding of American fare.
  • Must be able to multi-task
  • Must have excellent telephone and interpersonal skills
