As an Executive Chef, you will play a vital role in ensuring the success of our Culinary Services experience, overseeing all aspects of the dining operations, and delivering a high-quality dining experience for our residents and guests.

Executive Chef Responsibilities:

  • Supervise all cooking operations, including methods, portioning, and garnishing.
  • Develop menus by planning meals and offering a variety of new recipes.
  • Assist the Executive Director and sales staff with banquets, parties, and special events.
  • Requisition food and equipment, providing specifications, quantities, and quality descriptions.
  • Ensure attractive presentation of all food and dishes.
  • Maintain health and sanitation standards, creating a clean and safe working environment.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in food preparation techniques and recognize the condition and cooking temperature of food.
  • Maximize revenues and profits while adhering to budgetary guidelines.
  • Lead, train, and mentor food preparation staff, including recruitment, hiring, coaching, development, and performance evaluations.
  • Collaborate on the creation, management, and operation of departmental budget and expense plans.
  • Schedule team members, maintaining adequate staffing levels and adhering to labor standards guidelines.
  • Support team member recognition and engagement programs.
  • Comply with all company policies and procedures, embodying the organization's core values.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as required or requested.
  • Must be physically present at the assigned work location.
  • Strong English communication skills are essential for seamless interaction with residents and colleagues.
  • Salary range is $60k-$65k annually.

Executive Chef Qualifications:

  • Minimum of two (2) years experience as a Chef required.
  • Two years of kitchen supervisory experience with three years of kitchen operations experience, including at least one year in a lead cook position OR an equivalent level of education and experience.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel).
  • Strong leadership, management, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Ability to motivate and inspire team members to meet and exceed standards.
  • Problem-solving skills and the ability to handle multiple activities simultaneously.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to deliver results and maintain a positive reputation within the community.
  • Flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays as required.
