Our team is currently seeking a full-time School Social Worker who wants to make an impact at a developing and team-oriented Public School in Lansing, IL beginning this January 2024 until the end of the school year in May. The selected SSW will be supporting an Elementary School and will work alongside another Social Worker in the building.

Job Functions Include: 

• Ability to work full time, Monday-Friday from 8:00 am-3:30 pm.
• Support Elementary Students.
• Manage a caseload of around 11 students with IEPs.
• Support Teachers with SEL needs.
• Works with parents and children in a confidential and caring manner and assists the family, school, and community in any way required to bridge gaps between family and schools.
• Fulfills all the responsibilities of the IEP: timely and current progress monitoring, uses progress monitoring to guide instruction, etc. 
• Completes casework assessments and services and communicates them to students and their families.
• Assesses, identifies, and provides clinical interventions to students with emotional, social, attendance and/or behavioral concerns within the general education population.
• Completes classroom observations and functional behavior assessments on identified students.
• Utilizes student performance data as a guide for decision-making.
• Participates in and contributes to a school culture that focuses on improved student learning.
• Attends meetings and professional development activities as required.
• Other duties as assigned.

Job Qualifications:

• Master's Degree in Social Work
• Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL)
• Endorsement in Social Work
• Experience Supporting pre-K students is a plus, but not required.
