Purpose- SC Formerly known as Broadstep Academy is under new management and is excited for a great future and truly making a difference. We are looking for Maintenance Specialists to help with our vision:

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Ensure at all times the provision of a safe and therapeutic environment for consumers and staff that inspires and communicates hope, safety, trust and opportunity through both the structural maintenance of each facility.
  • Performs general maintenance and janitorial duties consistent with licensing and accreditation guidelines and standards and ensures compliance at all times.
  • Maintains full compliance with all documentation, reporting and service provision within all contracts for services within the respective subsidiary.
  • Performs all maintenance components of Facilities Management, to include but not limited to: painting, repair, construction, fire, security equipment, heating and cooling systems, vehicle maintenance and landscaping with the goal of ensuring the Premier Environment which inspires hope, safety, trust and opportunity, and while being fluent and current with all local, state licensing, federal, and accreditation guidelines and managing the facilities to that standard.
  • Participate in the maintenance on-call schedule as assigned.
  • Participate in the implementation and completion of a preventive schedule of monthly, quarterly, semi-annual and annual facility maintenance and landscaping activities to be performed to all facilities according to facility-management, best-practice standards;
  • Participate in the daily maintenance team meeting every morning;
  • Participate in Real Estate Maintenance audits with QA according to the audit schedule and as assigned;
  • Review and collaboratively resolve non-compliances from the Therapeutic Environment audits according to the audit schedule and as assigned;
  • Resolution Management - complete all maintenance tasks according to the following timeframes and criteria:
  • Corrective repair - complete all corrective repair within 72 hours, unless an Emergency situation requires immediate remedy.
  • As needed, may be requested to support with transportation maintenance needs when applicable (van breaking down, transportation to place of service, estimate on work being done, etc.).
  • Provide organization and upkeep to the maintenance department office and storage, to include a filing/tracking system of all tools.
  • Track and maintain an inventory list of tools currently in the maintenance department and a list of needed tools for the maintenance department.
  • Maintains a positive, professional relationship with all employees and external vendors.
  • Provide and ensure the complete service delivery in a healthy and safe manner that supports Broadstep's vision, mission and values.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned by management.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Possess a minimum of a high school diploma, or a GED equivalent;
  • Relevant trade certification(s) preferred;
  • Have a minimum of two (2) years experience in maintenance or relevant building trades;
  • Have a minimum of one (1) year experience working with consumers meeting the programs admission criteria (preferred).
