Automotive Maintenance Technician

Direct Hire - 1st shift

Location: Roseville, MI

Perform machine repair and maintenance activities (Hydraulic Presses)

Oversee preventative maintenance program for production and other capital equipment

Inspect machinery and other equipment as required

Inspect and approve the work of subcontractors of maintenance and construction services

Maintain prescribed levels of maintenance supplies and tools

Provide assistance to production and warehouse departments on the proper use and daily maintenance requirements for capital equipment.

Must be able to operate industrial material handling equipment including industrial lift trucks.

Must be able to operate a wide variety of handheld power tools.

Drill press, band saw, table saw and other general shop equipment.

Standard industrial environment.

Must possess valid drivers license and have personal transportation.

Requirements

Under the direction of the Plant General Manager, performs preventative maintenance and repair

on plant equipment and facilities. Maintains records of maintenance and repair activities.

Perform other duties as required

1. Must have experience and knowledge with Hydraulic Presses

2. Basic understanding hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical, plumbing, HVAC, electrical and electronic systems.

3. Ability to read and write, including the ability to interpret specifications, blueprints and electrical schematics.

4. Ability to analyze and compile data.

5. Familiarity with federal, state and/or local building and safety ordinances, codes and/or regulations.

6. Knowledge metal-forming machinery and related equipment.

Physical Demands

1. Must be able to stand for long periods of time.

2. May have to work long and/or irregular hours and weekends.

3. Vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, depth perception, the ability to adjust focus and the ability to distinguish between colors.

4. Ability to regularly use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch and crawl; talk and hear.
