  • Full-time, 1st shift
  • 72 hours per pay period
  • No holidays or weekends required
Duties and Key Responsibilities
  • Directs and guides patient teaching and activities of ancillary clinical personnel.
  • Places the patient at the center of care.
  • Collaborates and interacts positively with providers and other medical practice staff to provide quality care and achieve desired outcomes.
  • May be required to support clinical colleagues according to patient volumes/acuity.
  • Completes clinical assessments of the patient by completing a history of present disease and illnesses with accuracy and documents appropriately in the patient's electronic medical record.
  • Collaborates with physicians and other health team members in implementing physician orders.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements
  • Good interpersonal skills in dealing with patients, families, physicians, co-workers and public.
  • Flexibility in scheduling to meet department needs.
Education/Certifications
  • Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant Program or will be graduating in 6 months of hire. Certified Medical Assistant through AAMA or other certifying body as deemed acceptable by the Practice Manager or will obtain this credentialing within 6 months of hire.
  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing. Licensed LPN.
Experience
  • Previous experience with electronic medical records
  • Previous experience in a Pediatric office is preferred, but not required.
