We are looking to add an experienced, enthusiastic Senior Catering Aales manager to our Abigail Kirsch team in New York. As a catering sales manager, you will have the opportunity to work independently to sell and produce events for a variety of market segments. In this role, you would work independently to solicit new business, respond to incoming leads and sell off-premises events in varied market segments, primarily in New York City. You are responsible for maintaining relationships with event venues, planners, and clients. You will work as part of a team to fully manage the sales process and work closely with the event management and services team to ensure a seamless turnover and flawless execution. While not your primary focus, you will have the opportunity to attend, execute and manage events. Other tasks include developing new relationships, initiating sales opportunities, completing monthly KPIs that contribute to prospecting, attending networking and industry events, maintaining positive and external relationships, field incoming leads, give price quotes, negotiate, create proposals, and close sales. Use industry experience to price out events including menu design, set-up logistics and staffing needs ensuring profitability. Hold responsibility for deposits and final payments. Conduct client meetings, sales calls, tastings and entertaining. Reporting into the Director of Catering, as Senior Sales Manager, you will support in the development of a team of 3 Sales Managers, particularly in the area of proposal design and event costing, but on also on varied projects as assigned. What we're looking for: Must-haves: At least five years’ experience in event planning, sales, or event management. At least five years’ experience in hospitality or catering. Exceptional interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.
